Immunizations and Wellness Care 

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible.  A comprehensive physical exam is recommended at least once a year and more often for pets with ongoing medical problems, along with specialized blood tests for all life stages.  Puppies and kittens should begin receiving vaccinations at 6 to 8 weeks of age and yearly afterwards.


Surgery

Brookside is well equipped to perform all types of minor and major surgeries including spays, neuters, orthopedic, chest and abdominal surgery.  We use gas anesthetic machines and utilize monitoring devices on all anesthetized patients.  Pain management is an important part of our surgical protocol during and post surgery.

Diagnostics

Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory with results available in minutes.  Specialized testing and biopsy analysis are performed at referral laboratories.

X-Rays

We feature state of the art digital radiography, which gives us higher quality results in less time and with fewer exposures.  Radiology specialists are utilized to gain valuable diagnostic information. 

Ultrasound and Endoscopy are offered and performed by specialists and are invaluable tools to visualize and biopsy internal organs.

Dentistry

Dental hygiene  is an important part of your pets general health.  We perform ultrasonic scaling and polishing, extraction of diseased teeth, and offer products to prevent tartar buildup. 

Physical Therapy

In addition to anti-inflammatory medications, laser therapy is offered for acute and chronic pain, arthritis, back injuries and other inflammatory conditions, and as part of our physical therapy protocol.  Often pain medications can be reduced or eliminated after laser therapy treatments.
