Dr. Frank Markos

Dr. Frank Markos grew up on a dairy farm in Plain City Utah.  He attended Weber High School, Weber State University, Utah State University and graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1967.  He has practiced at Brookside Animal Hospital since graduation.

He and his wife Sharon have two children and five grandchildren.  Hobbies include golf, travel and time with family.

Dr. Kathryn Penrod

Dr. Penrod knew she wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was a young child.  That dream started to become a reality when she graduated Utah State University and started Veterinary school at Colorado State University.  In 2000 she graduated from Colorado State with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and being that she was raised in Weber County, it was only right to come back to her home town.  Kathryn has worked at Brookside Animal Hospital since 1993 where she began as a veterinary kennel worker and became employed as a veterinarian in 2000.

Kathryn has been active in the 4-H horse community and enjoys her time off riding and working with horses and spending time with her family.  Her passion is working with animals and the clients together as a team to try to give them health and the best quality of life.

Dr. Eleanor Jenson

Dr. Eleanor Jenson spent her formative years on a dairy farm in southeastern Idaho.  While there, she experienced the unconditional love and loyalty of dogs like "Lassie", "Buster", and "Frecko", and cats like "Ma'am Rough and Tough", "Rocket Jr." and "Papa Cat".  She also began learning the significance of the human-animal bond through the calming effect of the milking barn, surrounded by cows chewing their cuds to the rhythm of the pulsating milking machines, riding horses to move sprinkler pipes and dig noxious weeds, driving a Percheron horse-drawn sleigh to feed livestock in the winter, bottle-feeding calves and orphaned lambs, delivering piglets and gathering eggs.

Her animal friends and the veterinarians who cared for them inspired her to pursue a more formal education that would improve animal's lives and enhance the lives of their human companions.  Dr. Jenson received an Associates Degree from Ricks College, Bachelors and Masters degree from Utah State University, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University.

Having experienced the crucial role animals can play in people's lives, Dr. Jenson thrives on helping others' pets remain healthy to fulfill that role.

Dr. Stacey Henderson

Dr. Stacey Henderson knew from a young age that veterinary medicine would be in her future.  Born and raised in Ogden, she spent much of her childhood at her extended family's dairy farm and had many different pets at home.  She raised lambs with 4-H and FFA and through her experiences learned the value of hard work.

Dr. Henderson received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Bioveterinary Science from Utah State University.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colorado State University in 2006 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has worked at Brookside Animal Hospital ever since.  Dr. Henderson enjoys working with pets and owners to build strong bonds for long, healthy lives.

In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Henderson enjoys the fine arts and is a classically-trained pianist.  Most of all, she loves to spend time with her husband and darling daughter.
